What comes down, must go up again… Well at least in this case because it is foundation time at our Dream Home!
This is the week where we take you through one of the most important steps in a house build, laying the base which will hold your family home for years to come.
Luckily the technology in building foundation has not changed much at all in the years since our Dream Home was first built. That means that we can keep the original foundation for the rooms that are remaining.
Discovery of a huge sofa size lump of concrete in the backyard has been an unwelcome surprise which required break up and removal. This whole area used to be a poultry farm, so no doubt it’s from that original property. This slowed down the work and added to the cost of this stage, but it is super exciting to see the space becoming real.
